Think long-term

By this time, you should have a fair idea as to what you want to do in future. Which stream you would like to opt for in Class 12th, which elective and so on. Don’t just think of the short-term goal, think long term – think which career interests you and then accordingly decide on the stream and elective.

Get a first-hand experience

If you have a career in mind but are not sure whether it is for you or not, now is the time to explore it further. Talk to parents, relatives, friends, friends’ friends – anybody who can help you get a first-hand experience of the job. If you can get an internship, then nothing like it! This is the best way to know more about the career you are interested in.

Talk to experts in the field

Internships for Class 10th students are difficult to find in India. Your next best bet is to talk to people who are already working in the field that you are interested in. LinkedIn is a good platform to find and network with professionals. It’s time to give Facebook a break and get on to LinkedIn 😊

Prepare for your career

Some competitive examinations are tough. If you plan and start preparing for them earlier, you will have an upper hand over your competitors. Self-study or joining a coaching class- see what works for you best and go for it.

Explore

You have just finished an exam so don’t be too harsh on yourself. You deserve a small break. Explore hobbies that you are interested in. Travel, write a poem, read – do what you love. And if you have figured out what you love doing, figuring out your career would be an easier task.

Have fun! And in case you need any help with your career decision, remember we are just a call away.
